Free Valet Parking Downtown

I had lunch downtown Mountain View today and I used the new free valet parking. It was so easy. I just rolled into the lot that is directly across the street from Tied House, at the intersection of Franklin and Villa. There’s a blue sign that you’ll see as you enter the lot. The lot was full already, but the valet attendant is under the red tent in the back righthand corner of the lot, just waiting for customers.

I gave him my car and relaxed as my friend and I walked to Pho to Chau on Villa. Obviously, it was so much faster, easier, and less stressful than driving in circles for 20 minutes.

This valet parking is a new program funded by the city. It is designed to ease traffic and stress during peak hours in our downtown area, so it’s open when downtown is the most crowded:

Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 11 am to 2 pm and then again from 5 pm to midnight.

And best part, it’s free.

The lot across the street is called Lot 11. There are 12 different public lots downtown. I’m posting a map of all the lots, but just remember that the free valet parking is across the street from Tied House. Wow, I bet they’re happy about that!

Thank you Mountain View for doing something to help ease the pain of trying to find a parking spot. I will definitely be taking advantage of this new program!
