I’m embarrassed to say that I just went to Napoletana Pizzeria for the first time last week. Oh my goodness, have I been missing out! It’s a small restaurant next door to Cost Plus World Market. It fills up quickly and they don’t take reservations, even if you call and ask very nicely. Trust me. The previous restaurant in this location had an amazing brick oven, and that’s about the only thing that remained the same. The restaurant is beautiful inside, don’t be mislead by the fact that it’s in an older strip mall on the El Camino. My friend and I ordered one salad and one pizza and it was plenty of food for two people. We had the “Pizza del Carcerato.” The pizza is the thin crust style. It had fresh ricotta cheese rolled inside the outer edge of the crust.
I’m a little concerned about the fact that this place is within walking distance of my house and now I know how much I love it… I’m pretty sure I’ll be a regular at Napoletana Pizzeria. And even if you have to wait for a table, you can spend a few minute wandering the aisles at Cost Plus World Market. Sounds like a perfect evening to me. I love Mountain View.
