I went to Boutique 4 for a private shopping event last week. It was amazing, honestly. Anyone can schedule one of these private events, as long as you have at least 10 people who would be willing to join you. The owners close the store to the public and bring in homemade cupcakes, wine, and other appetizers for you and your friends. They’ll have extra staff available so you and all your friends get outstanding customer service. You are free to drink wine and try on all the clothes you want. They’ll give everyone a discount. What’s not to love? There are 3 or 4 more of these events planned in the next month, so if you're interested in scheduling one you should contact the store for details.
There were about 15 or 20 people there last Thursday evening. It was moms-night-out for a group of women from Stevenson PACT School in Mountain View. It was very casual evening and they all seemed to be having so much fun. I loved it and I didn’t even know the other women in the group. That’s right, I crashed their private party. I don’t think they even noticed that I wasn’t part of their group.
Boutique 4 has been in Mountain View for about 3 ½ years. It’s owned by 2 sisters, Tamara and Julie, who both worked in high-tech jobs. They decided to open shop on Castro Street and offer the best merchandise they could find. The selection of clothing is very nice and perfectly suits hip peninsula taste. Most of it would be perfect for either work or weekend occasions. I noticed that they have lots of color in the store and this seems like a good time of the year to splurge on something outrageously colorful. They also have an array of fabulous jewelry, and accessories. I walked away very pleased with my purchase. Within a few days Boutique 4 had emailed a coupon to me and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. I just love downtown Mountain View.
