1. Eligibility: The I Love My MV Businesses Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of California, 18 years of age or older as of their date of entry in this promotion, who have an active email account and Internet access . This I Love My MV Businesses Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. Employees of the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce's employees and its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, and directors (collectively the “Employees”), as well as members of an Employees' immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees are ineligible to participate in the I Love My MV Businesses Sweepstakes.

2. Sponsorship. The sponsor is Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, located at 580 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA 94041. Sponsor will conduct the Sweepstakes substantially as described in these Official Rules.

3. Agreement to Rules: By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to abide by these “Official Rules.” By entering the Sweepstakes, you represent and warrant that you are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules.

4. How to Enter: The Sweepstakes begins on September 9, 2020 at 10:00am PT and ends on October 5, 2020 at 11:59pm PT (“Entry Period”). To be eligible for the Sweepstakes, entries must be received within the Entry Period. You can enter the Sweepstakes online by submitting an entry via the online form and instructions provided at ilovemv.org/sweepstakes. Participants may only enter once. Fraudulent methods of entry or circumvention of the rules may result in the Sponsor invalidating your entries and removing them from the Sweepstakes at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. No automatically generated entries will be accepted. No mechanically reproduced mail-in entries are allowed and any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods. As a participant, your entry must fully meet all Sweepstakes requirements, as specified in the Official Rules, in order to be eligible to win a prize. Incomplete entries or those that do not adhere to the Official Rules or specifications will be disqualified at the Sponsor's sole discretion.

5. Prize: The winner of the I Love My MV Businesses Sweepstakes will receive one Mountain View Universal Gift Card worth $500. The Mountain View Universal Gift Card is only recognized by the establishments listed on the ilovemv.org website (https://www.ilovemv.org). The actual/appraised prize value may differ at the time the prize is awarded. There shall be no cash or other prize substitution permitted except at the Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. The Winner, upon acceptance of the prize, is solely responsible for all expenses related to the prize, including without limitation any and all local, state, and federal taxes.

6. Odds: The total number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning.

7. Selection and Notification of Winner: The Winner will be selected by a random drawing, under the supervision of the Sponsor, to be held on or around [twenty-four (24) hours following the Entry Period] . The Sponsor will notify the Winner by email within seven days following Winner selection. The Winner may be required to sign and return a declaration of eligibility and a publicity/liability release within seven (7) days of notification. If the Winner 1) fails to claim the prize within 10 days from the time the award notification was sent, 2) is found ineligible, or 3) does not complete and return an executed declaration and release within the specified timeframe, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected from remaining valid, eligible entries timely submitted. Receipt of the prize offered in the Sweepstakes by the Winner is upon the condition of compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IF THE WINNER VIOLATES ANY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

Rights Granted by You: By submitting an entry into this Sweepstakes, You understand and agree that the Sponsor and any successors, assigns, and affiliates of Sponsor shall, where permitted by law, have the right to print, publish, broadcast, distribute and use in any media known now or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, worldwide, and without limitation, your entry, name, photo, portrait, voice, likeness, image, statements attributed to you (if true) about the I Love My MV Businesses Sweepstakes, and your biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes, including without limitation, news, publicity, advertising, promotional purposes, trade, information, and public relations without any further notice, review, consent, compensation, or remuneration.

9. Additional Considerations: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the Sweepstakes are compromised, without liability to the entrant. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, including without limitation: any entrants who tamper with or attempt to tamper with the operation or entry process of the Sweepstakes or website; infringe upon, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual property rights of others; or violate these Official Rules. Attempts by any entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the I Love My MV Businesses Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If any such attempt is made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability: Sponsor is not responsible for (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, postage-due, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or undeliverable entries, responses, or other correspondence, whether by email or postal mail or otherwise; (ii) theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials; or (iii) phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software program or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties. IN NO EVENT WILL SPONSOR BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESSES OR PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM ANY CLAIM BASED UPON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT CLIENT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification: You agree to release, indemnify, defend, and hold Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers, and any other organizations related to the Sweepstakes harmless, from and against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly, or that in any way arise from your participation in the Sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of a prize or any portion thereof.

12. Disputes: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. You agree, as a condition of participating in this promotion, that if any disputes cannot be resolved between you and the Sponsor, and if causes of action arise out of or are connected with this Sweepstakes, they shall be individually resolved exclusively before a court located in California having jurisdiction, without resorting to any form of class action. Under no circumstances in any such dispute shall the participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes). The participant waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

Winners List: You may obtain a copy of the Winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, by sending your request via mail with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, 580 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA 94041, USA. Requests must be postmarked no later than October 19, 2020 at 5:00pm PT.
